A green oasis in the gay district of Milan
The Porta Venezia public garden “ Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli” is the oldest public park in Milan and an enjoyable place to visit when in the LGBTQ+ Porta Venezia neighbourhood.
It’s centrally located, full of trees, fountains, waterfalls, bridges, ponds and a intricate system of paths. The park is one of the favourite spots for the perfect escape from the city, to have a picnic and rest during the springtime and enjoy the first sunny days. It is also a popular destination for bikers, joggers and the casual walker.

There are also many attractions, you can’t miss! During the winter, too cold, and summer, too hot, you can visit the Planetarium or go and have a look at the Civic Museum of Natural Science, the oldest public museum in Milan, or Villa Reale and Palazzo Dugnani. During the summertime, you can also enjoy the outdoors cinema.
And when the sun goes down, Porta Venezia (Via Lecco is the heart of the gay district) you can find the best and trendy neighbor for a gay aperitif!
