Gay Pride Milan 2019
Gay Pride Milan 2019
This year the Month Pride edition has been different all over the world. We have celebrated the anniversary of the Stonewall riots (New York): in 1969 the gay and lesbian community rose against the pre-established social order. Milano Pride is the most popular and important in Italy and consists in one week of LGBT-friendly events, at the end of June. As Sonders and Beach SRL Italy, we have taken part to the Milanese pride week and marched at the traditional parade (June 29), to assess civil rights!
Why was it an unforgettable day?
We met at our office and after having made up our face with rainbow tattoos, we have put on our brand new t-shirts about the International Convention IGLTA 2020. Then we headed to the Central Railway Station of Milan. The parade started from here and wound up for 4 kilometres, ending at Corso Buenos Aires in front of Porta Venezia, the gay district of the city.
We were more than 300.000 people … Gay, Lesbian, bisexual, transgender, etero, families, All of us were there to challenge for inclusiveness and not just for the Lgbtq+ community: but we were there to celebrate the pride of and for EVERYONE! Streets were full of people walking and dancing, people from the windows, with banners, music, rainbow floats and LOVE!
At the end of the parade, a talk between LGBT associations and some city politicians took place, wrapping up with Baby K’s music and a fantastic flash mob.
We were in Piazza Oberdan, the Pride Square. We had a colorful booth: we met lots people and handed over amazing gadgets.
The main attraction was our rainbow wheel! It was a success! a little nice game, where people could play and win some gadgets, such as Quiiky discounts, Qmagazine and much more!
We met very nice people and we had a lot of fun with all of them! Thanks!
The party continued all night with live music, dj set, fun activities, restaurants with special menus and much more!
